I'm more than a little surprised that Savage didn't even make the top 5 in bolt action sales. 
If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Interesting. I would have thought Glock would have been on the list.

I have recently had the opportunity to shoot both a M&P 45 and a Sig 1911. The Sig was ok, trigger was not as nice as my Kimber, otherwise the pistol functioned well. The guy that owns it stated he had put 1,500 rounds though it without a malfunction. It was a full size Nitron, finish looked good and came with factory night sites, he said he paid $799 for it last year. The M&P surprised me, with the smallest back strap it felt like I was holding a 1911. The trigger had been modified with an Apex kit, felt like my upgraded XD trigger, still around 5.5 lbs. it shot well, I am not a great shot with a pistol and shoot 1911's best, but shot this one almost as well.

Surprises me as well, the two I own have great right out of the box.
