i would like your opinion which scopes and power of scopes would be best for the following rifles. 1) Ruger mark2 220 swift(24" barrel, standard model) that i will use to coyote hunting. shots from 25 yards to 300   2) ruger mark 2 stainless  260 rem, used for deer hunting. shots from 25 yards to 200   3)  weatherby 22/250 super predator coyote hunting shots again from 25 to  300 yards  4) savage 12fvss 308 to puch paper to 300 yards.i am more concerned with quality than price.i want the best scopes money can buy. what is your opinion. thanks

For the ranges and game that you mention, a quality 3-9x40 will be more than adequate on all of the rifles.  For what you are looking for I would also say stick with a 1" tube.  If money is not worked into the equation, I would rank commonly found quality scopes as follows, Swarovski, Zeiss, Kahles, Bushnell Elite 4200, Leupold VXIII, Burris Signature Select, Nikon Monarch.  I am sure that I have left someone's favorite out, but I think this gives you a good starting point.

1. i would go with a scope with an AO, or aprralax adjustment, with a good low power, and a higher power, so i think a VXII in 4-12, or a similar scope would work fine. you shouldnt need any kind of drop compesating reticle for jsut 300, so a duplex, or fine duplex will work fine.

2. ditto, the same scope would work fine, or a scope like the burris 3-9 with the free spotter would be a great choice, if not the best.

3. another 4-12, or a 4.5-14, same class as rifle 1.

4. a bushnell 4200 6-24 would be great, becuase you have the high, and low ends. or a SS10x42 would also work fine, if you dont mind a fixed power.

theres my opinion, good luck.

1) 24" Ruger in 220 Swift for coyote 25-300 yards.  I would go with something that has good low light performance, 1" tube and 40mm objective so that you can use the factory Ruger rings that came with the gun.  Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40....$429.99

2)  Stainless Ruger in .260 for deer 25-200 yards. Same as 1(except in s/s) for same reasons. Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 Silver....$459.99

3) Weatherby Super Predator 22/250 for coyotes 25-300 yards.  I would go big objective and higher power on this beauty.  Zeiss 6-24x56 VMV with Illuminated Mil Dot and side focus parallax.....$1799.99.  This way you will have both ends of the spectrum covered for coyotes.  A 3-9x40 standard reticle for close to mid range and then the ultimate long range low light scope.

4) Savage 12fvss in .308 for paper out to 300 yards.  By far the most popular and tailor made scopes for target .308 are made by Leupold.  The 6.5-20x50 Mark 4 LR/T, Mil Dot Reticle, M1 1/4 moa Target Knobs, 30mm tube, Long Range, Side Focus, Index Matched Lens System.....$959.95
