Have you ever had an information overload problem?  I've read and searched this forum for days now.  Which has pretty much completely confused me.  I've got a new Savage .17 hmr BTVS.  I've got about 200 bucks to spend on some glass.  I was kicking around the Mueller APV.  Then I seen the Simmons WTC at a great price.  Then I started looking at the Weaver V's... Then I seen the Bushnell 3200 10x40.

Anyhow now I have no clue as to what I want for this rifle.  I plan to do some hunting with it but mostly target shooting.  Like I said I'm looking to spend 200 bills but know when it comes to scopes you get what you pay for.   So, 250 would be tops for me with Xmas so close.

Thanks

I feel your confusion, I almost get as much enjoyment in putting a rig together as I do shooting it.  There are so many options and good equipment available to us shooters that it can be taxing, just take your time and gather as much information and advise that pertains to your needs and let the green backs fly!

Lucytuma, I do have a good time researching rigs.  Sometimes it's just crystal clear on what is the best option other times like this it's clear as mudd.

The Muller APV has decent glass but the controls don't have a great reputation for repeatability. If that's not an issue then you could do worse. Personally it would drive me nuts. I like Weavers for rimfire shooting and for mixed hunting/target shooting I would take a long look at a V16.

I have a Weaver RV-9 mounted on my CZ 452 .22wmr and it's a really good match for that rifle/caliber. I'm not familiar with Muellers, but the Weaver rimfire line is excellent.

I have a Leupold VX-I 3-9x40 never mounted, open box that I'd sell for $200 shipped. Contact me if interested.
