None what so ever! Check this inventory, their prices are good and you could possibly get a 99% inletted. If you get one and have any problem please let me know. I've used them for yrs. and have yet to hear any complaint.      http://www.rifle-stocks.com/

the best laminate is the one best designed for your needs, if your looking at a replacement look at it from that angle. example -- higher comb , maybe a little longer pull , thick or thinner grip.

If you look around you can often find Remington take-off stocks from their Mountain Rifle configuration. People usually get rid of these who are upgrading to a McMillan. Boyds is another option, the JRS in particular, however it doesn't come with checking, but there are several companies that will checker laminates that do pretty good work. Lastly, I would check with a company called "Stockys" who sell factory OEM stocks for Remington rifles and I believe that Remington gets some of their wood and laminate stocks from them ready to go, meaning finished ready to drop in.

One other to check out. These stocks are used by gunsmiths like D'Arcy Echols who is widely considered one of the best gunsmiths in the world. He uses this company for his rifles built using laminate stock.
