hey guys whats the best sale going right now? is it still the Nikon Team Primos 3-9x40 for 219.00??

I looked around on the net and for under 300.00 I don't see anything better, I found the 4200's for 269.00

I picked up a Nikko Golden Eagle mod# 7000 in 25-06 for $350.00
I am ordering Talley lightweights

gonna try Barnes 100 gr TTSX  or the 110gr accubonds for deer and yotes
I may try some 300yds paper shooting just to play

My vote might be for the Zeiss Conquest 1.8 - 5.5X38 for $299.  It's not a small scope, so it might not work on light rifles.

The closeout Weaver Classic Extreme 2.5-10 x50 illuminated dot 30mm tube at $289.00 is the best deal going. The optics are amazing would rate this scope better than my Leupold illuminated reticle 30mm 2-10 VXIII which cost me over $750.

Are you finding these on SWFA's site?  I looked and couldn't find squat.

Question? I see the Nikon team primos on the sample list for 179.00 how long is the warranty on these?

this is not going to be my main hunting gun, so I was trying to keep the price around $200-250

I think the team primos is one of the best deals going. For a while all you heard around this place was people talking about the team primos. I would read up on the BDC reticle and see if it is something that might interest you.

I think the BDC would be good on this 25-06 since I should be able to shoot out to 300 yds easily, for the price the sample list caught my attention, but I need to know about the warranty first.

I think it is 90 days. That is what I was told on my Monarch off the samplelist. I has held up well.

That Golden Eagle probably weighs about eleven pounds....I would put a lightweight scope on it....if I had to carry it around......( unless you have a Gun Bearer!! )  Ha!!   Smile

The Weaver is a rather heavy scope so it might not be what you are looking for.  The Nikon Team Primos is a compact little scope for a good price.

I found it and man it is nice,,,, but I got away from all my 30mm rings and scopes and I don't think I want to go back, it makes swapping scopes on rifles limited to which one has 30mm rings and which ones don't.... but that is a hot deal.

I am leaning towards the team primos 3-9x40 new - I don't understand why nikon only gives 90 days off the samplelist.

But WHY Chris?? are they inferior? why not back them if there's nothing wrong... not trying to start a flame, but think about it from a customer looking at the practices of a company standpoint......Hmmm

Are you sure that you want to buy a Phillipino made scope over a well made Japanese scope selling for $289.00 with illuminated dot side focus?

I have both scopes and find the optics much clearer on the Weaver. At this time the Weaver can still be bought at closeout and is indeed a much better scope than the Primos.

well my reasoning is this, I don't have any 30mm rings or scopes anymore, and all my rigs have scopes right now except this new one. if I bought that scope I would want it on my best deer rifle ( my tikka 7mm ) so then I would have to start buying rings for the 7mm tikka ( which has a nice set on 1 inch talleys right now) and moving scopes around etc..

another words I would have to start spending more money than just buying a scope for the 25-06
