I'm looking for a good bino for my girls. I used to be able to get the SII 8x25 compacts for about $60, but I can't get them anymore. I scored a deal the other day and found the SII 8x25 water proofs for $39.00 (not a joke, actually they were delivered today).

Anyway, I would like a quality bino for $50 or less for a Christmas present. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

This one might work:

but the Leupold version for a few bucks more comes with better quality control and warranty:

I bought this Leupold for my 8 year old son when he was 7, and he loves them.   I kind of like them too.

I like the look of those, but I was kind of thinking of something more like these:

Only a little cheaper.

IMHO the Leupolds are the best for kids, they fit their face and eye spacing better, are durable and in the 6x30 have great optics for the price that the little ones can hold steady.
I have given two pairs to young ones, they love them and haven't been able to kill them after a year and a half.
A young ones eye spacing is closer together than an adults and over six power is hard for them to hold steady...the Leupolds were actually engineered for by children and it shows in the way they work.
They are worth the extra money because the kids can actually use them and both mom and dad can use them with the kids.
They also have passed the bath and drag through the mud puddle test.
I am a fan.
Art
Good day.
