I think it might be the Minox 13x56 sibling to the 15x56 being discussed in the other thread.  That is one I have seen several times and it is pretty good.  It happens to be my absolute upper limit for any sort of hand held viewing.

Best may not mean available. I think highly of my nikon 12x50 SE, but it is not waterproof. My 12x60 Fujinon HB is very bright at dusk, but I am thinking of selling it and moving up to 15x...YMMV

Steve,

Which 15x are you considering?

The 5mm exit pupil has a lot to do with the brightness of your Fujinon HB.
The other plus to the HB is the electron beam optical coatings which allow for maximum light transmission.

I have the Fujinon 12x60 HB also and plan to keep it for a very long time. Big Grin

For what application?  What size of the binocular are you looking for?

Hunting primarily.  Looking for a 12x56/12x60 range for exit pupil.  I can't say I'm young enough to take full advantage of a 5mm exit pupil any more, but I'm not quite relegated to a 7mm yet.  If I can't find anything decent in my price range I may relent and just go with the ZR Prime HD's in 10x42.  Looks like those are the thing these days, and they still have the pre-order special on from the company until the end of the month.

If you are using them primarily handheld, stick to 10x.

If you use the tripod a lot, Minox 13x56 is likely one of your better options.
