Are you referring to the video with John Burns? If it is, it appears to be a promotion for the rifles he builds and a scope he markets- www.gunwerks.com

Striking a target at distance requires a scope that you can rely on the adjustments you make to be the same every time. From there you need balistics tables for trajectory and wind, and you need a rangefinder or understanding of how to use mil dots to range. You need to take time to refine your skill through practice.  There are two routes you can go one is to use a BDC type scope that gives you known holdover and the other is to use a Tactical scope and dial in the correction. Most tactical scopes have 1/4 MOA clicks which means it moves 1/4 inch at 100 yds.

One minute of angle is 1 in at 100, 2 in at 200,  3 in at 300 etc. The scopes are marked with numbers so you can easily adjust the corresponding correction to have the crosshairs on target at the distance of the target.  Ex.  .308 168 gr hpt w/ 44 gr varget sighetd in at 200 yds will require 13 1/4 moa adjustment to be on target at 600 yds.

It takes time and ammo to do it but if you figure out how much adjustment to dial in and make a table for each 25 yds out to the max distance you will shoot then it is very fast to dial in the distance correction. The Super Sniper 10x is a good choice to learn how to do this for only $299.
