A lot dryer there than up here. We had 5.7-10.8" rain in last 3 days as of last night. Glad someone is getting out.

Some of the best bass fishing I've experienced has been in rain, wind, etc. Sunny days aren't always the best time to fish especially after the rain where you have "blue bird" skies.

What is the reason for hooking them if you don't eat them.  If it's just the fight you like take up fishing for Drum or Carp.  LOL

Nice pics.
Enjoy the costs of tackle like the rod on the right while you can. Pretty soon he'll want a Loomis with an Ambassadeur mounted on it.

We do not fish for Bass. We fish for Crappie and Sandbass which is what we eat. We don't eat bass. We hardly ever catch and release. Unless it's something we don't eat like the bass. Whacko

One of my favourite fish to eat along with pickerel.

Have never eaten crappie - would like to try it from everything I hear about it.

That's awful nice of you to allow your hubby to have his pic taken with your fish. You are a good wife to understand like you do. But we all know that it's always the woman that catches the biggest fish.

They are some of the very best fresh water fish to eat.  They are a light white delicate meat comparable to Perch (not the sunfish type) or Walleye... I would say Walleye have a stronger taste than the crappie or perch (and Walleye are hardly fishy at all)...

I'm confused why Steph doesn't eat largemough bass but eats Sand Bass... I've eaten both and I can not tell them apart.  Although largemouth bass from a farm pond do usually taste stronger than those from a large lake.....

What I cannot not eat is catfish... I know there are diehard cat eaters out there and whole eateries dedicated to serving them... I just think they all have a mud taste to them, ALL species of them....
