I have a Marlin 1894c.  It is a small lever action carbine in .357 magnum.  Thanks to help from the Rifle Optics forum, I've decided on the Weaver v1-3x20.  On the SWFA website, it lists the Warne Maxima 2 piece base as fitting the 1894 cowboy.  Mine, despite the c at the end, is not the cowboy model which is configured differently.  For all you experts on here, I need to know if I've got the right base.  The base I've got in my cart is SKU #M864864M.  Is this the right base for my Marlin 1894c?  I've also chosen the Warne permanent low rings, SKU #200M2.  Since the size of the scope won't interfere with the barrel, the lower the rings, the better, right?  Thanks for the help guys.  I am a complete newbie when it comes to this stuff.Smile

I'm quite certain that you are good to go, as long as your rifle has the hammer extension to one side to facilitate cocking it. You won't have room for your thumb under the ocular bell to control the hammer.
That should be a great little rig,  Post a Range Report sometime if you get a chance!
