Does anyone have any experince with the Barska Swat line scopes? They look like rebranded high end scopes due to the glass-etched reticle. I've seem them for under $200 on-line.

I have not used this particular Barska product, but every other product of theirs that I've seen is basically chicom crap.

As for glass etched reticles, they are really not hard to make, although it is hard to make them corectly.  I'd be very surprised if this was a rebranded high end product.

I have one I'm trying it'sthe 10-40 super clear VERY heavy but  am very impressed by the price. A lot more solid than I would have ever figured. Can't say anything about long term but so far so good

My dad has had the 6-24X44 Barska Swat on his .257 Weatherby mag for about a year.

The tracking seems to be OK on it,we use the turrets out to 500 yards but we have used them as far as 1200 yards(with 20moa base). I would say that it returns within 1/2 " to zero, not as good as Super sniper.

The glass is good enough but still not as clear as the SS.

The F.O.V is alot smaller than the SS even on 4 power so when you have a SS10X and the Barska side by side you will see a big difference in the glass.

The mil spacing is not exact but close enough that we have used it for ranging rather well.

Barska claims it has a first plane mil dot but it is not as the reticule does not get big enough on the high powers.

The scope tube is tough, it may be built of steel but I cant say for sure.

The clicks are OK at best,it has 1/8 moa clicks and 80 moa travel elevation.

I say that the scope is good enough for target/varmint shooting long range  but I would not put one one a rifle for sniping.
