I was looking at a couple of 375 H&H Winchester Model 70's and noticed that some have different sling attachments. Which is stronger or more desirable a barrel band
or this?

Truth be told, a lot depends on the quality of the silver soldering holding the swivel attachment shown in the first pic to the barrel.  Logic tells me a barrel band is ultimately stronger, because you have a ring mechanically holding the swivel stud in place.  Even if the solder joint fails, the band may slide, but it won't come off the barrel unless you slide it all the way off the muzzle.  I would trust a barrel band more.  To some, the style in your first picture has a cleaner look.  The only swivel connection that would be stronger than a band is a stud machined integrally into the barrel profile, but either of those designs are plenty strong enough if properly executed.

Thanks Ted,
I don't notice any silver solider marks along the base of the swivel attachment in the first picture. Does anyone actually make a barrel with a swivel stud machined integrally into the barrel profile?
Sam

Not any factory rifle manufacturers.  I've seen it done on some custom rifles before, though.
