The last couple of weeks I've been trying to find a good .308 load using the Barnes 168 gr TTSX. The factory load shoots Moa or better in my AR-10. I trimmed my cases to the same length as theirs, 2.005, and I'm using the same COL. 2.785. I'm using Lapua brass, theirs is stamped Barnes-no idea if they actually manufacture the cases or not. I'm using CCI BR2 primers. The recommended powder according to their website is Varget or AA2520. I pulled one of their bullets. Very dark, very fine spherical powder. Definitely NOT Varget. I don't have any 2520 to compare it to. I Emailed them and asked what powder it is, but I honestly don't expect an answer. Any suggestions on what powder this is or recommendations on another powder? I've already tried Varget, R15 and Benchmark. Varget is the go-to powder in .308 but Benchmarch shot best for me. Hodgdons website lists BLC 2 also. Anyone tried this?

Thanx

BLC2 works good for me in heavier bullets but its also dirtier than varget. I standarized on varget for ease of use and buying in bulk.  I have a 308 load using 130TTSX's that produced an itsy bitsy hole with 10 shots. Believe it was on the upper end around 50grs.
