Hey ya'll

Looking for a program for my pocket PC that is like the Horus Vision Atag. But doesn't cost a fortune.  My scope is a x-max tree reticle so I have windage, and elevation.  One big feature I'm looking for is first for first shot accuracy.

Did you check out the replies from your previous post (http://www.opticstalk.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=22916)? Another option you might consider is the Nightforce Ballistic software for Pocket PC. Google it...probably around $70.

As far as first shot accuracy goes, if you provide really accurate input, most ballistics calculators will be really good inside 500 yards. But that means you have to know your BC (manufacturers' numbers are notoriously optimistic), which drag model to use (e.g. G1 or G7), muzzle velocity +- 10 fps, and be very close on altitude, barometric pressure and temperature. If it's blowing, even if you have a wind measurement, don't count on it being the same at the target or in between.

Agree on the manufacturers claims to b.c. Pretty much have to shoot enough to come up with the b.c. yourself.

I believe exbal is around $70 too, but I don't know if it's for pocket pc. I have looked into it for palm.

Exbal is now running 99.95 for the PC, the second url below.
I don't know if these will help much but you can try and maybe they will lead you where you want to go...
