I understand that neat ballistic plex reticle from Burris only comes in their variable power pistol scope.  I want a ballistic plex on a fixed power (2X).

Am I out of luck?  It is for a .41 mag Smith.

Looks like u're out of luck-- they don't offer it in the fixed powers, BUT there is an option. U could simply use a std. plex reticle as a 1 or 2 stadia ballistic reticle in a fixed power scope by either sighting in on the x-hair, and using the lower post tip as a 2nd zero, or sighting in with the upper post tip, and using the 2 lower stadia as a 2nd and 3rd zero, as long as u know the stadia subtensions in MOA-- just match it up to a ballistics program, and check at the range.

U could also get one of the scope customizers to put dots in your scope if u so desire-- contact Michael O'Donnell @ TK Lee Co.

I contacted Burris and they said they can put the ballistic plex reticle in but that it is really made for the 7X setting on a variable and will be of little use in a 2X.  I am not sure I really agree with that position.  They may just be trying to rationalize not having the ballistic plex on a less expensive scope.  I am not sure.  It would seem to me that having the ballistic plex marks on a 2 power scope would work.  Will follow sscoyote's recommendation and see how that works.  With the rainbow trajectory of a heavy (.41mag) bullet in a 6" bbl, I am not sure the stadia on the plex reticle will

be enough for the distinction between say 75 yds and 125yds...but we shall see.

Interesting-- i took my info from the catalog-- the tech specs page shows info for the Ball. Plex, but the Handgun scopes pg. doesn't list it-- pretty odd. Hey Argentine if they do install the Ball. Plex reticle i'd bet the stadia subtensions are gonna be different than either of the std. handgun Ball. Plex subtensions.

Just looked at the spec. pg. for the reticle subtensions and the post -post gap of the plex reticle should be about 24 minutes, or 12 minutes for each "stadia unit" of the reticle. That might just get u out there some. Heck if it works u oughtta write an article about it for some mag. Never heard of too many guys doing it with the straight-walled cartridges before.
