can anyone tell me if a dirty bore can effect your groupings at 200 and 300 yards..........

yes.  Really a person should clean their gun and then go shoot until accuracy starts to fall off keeping track of how many rounds.  Then clean it when you reach that point each time.  I have had a rifle where after about 30 rounds accuracy would start to suffer.  I got a new Lilja barrel and shot over 300 and it was still shooting well. 

That is just something you have to find out with every rifle.

wasn;t sure if it would, was having trouble down range keeping a close group........thanks 4 the help........

Read an article years ago in ? magazine.  Article was titled "Cleanliness is next to accuracy?"  My experience has been the same as ST73 every gun will be different had a Ruger M77 MkI 7mm Mag. that you only got about 30 rounds thru before you had to clean it.  Had a Ruger M77 MkII SS in .223 that I ran over 300 rounds thru with no accuracy issues.  Then a guy showed up with a Ruger No.1 in .270 Weatherby and wanted to trade even for the .223 and scope and well........
