the ruger looks fun, does it came in a rifle or the pistol only,  wanted to try the remington is see if the stock was good at off hand silouhette (sp?) and if remington had got it together enough to compete with the ruger/volquartson combinations.

Good call and I agree. My brother's night time yote rig is a Ruger/Volquartson .22mag with a 3-9 Conquest. I have no doubt that Remy knows the 10/22 is THE platform.

It only comes in the pistol model now. Well that I have found. It is fun. one of my friend has a can suppresser/silencer for his with subsonic ammo it sound like a red rider. we shoot squirrels off his back porch in the middle of his subdivision. Makes for some good times.

had a contender also, 10" match barrel, tops in accuracy, but a real pain to break open every time- this would really work, would also do well as a 15 yd to 75 yd pd gun.

I've have the same barrel plus a 14" with 2-7 Burris for varmints. I think I would really like that Ruger for the same reason, it's easy to feed.

They do look wicked. I talked them both into putting bushnell 3200 with the firefly ret on them.they love them.

Dale ,
dose you poi change any when you shoot with or with out the can.
@ 75 yards with out the can 5 shots in a little hole add the can the group moves up about 3/4 of an inch. It's not a big deal but i was woundering of you have ran acroos that?

every gun I've shot with a can raised the poi. even chronoed a bunch of stuff, to see if it was slower, beats me. , cans usually increase back pressure and causes faster cycling but got me on the impact, (personally I would think the added wt. would hold the barrel down and they would shoot lower).

Dale,

I'm glad it's not the only one that’s noticed this. I honestly think it has got something to do with the pressures in the can. That’s making the bullet yaw just a tad. But it is consentient every time we shoot it with or with out it. I had a muzzle brake and put it on a junk gun to see if it didn’t put it on all the way what would happen it kind of did the same thing. After screwing it on all the way the poi went right back to normal but with it screwed half on it was way off.

a brake and can work the same way of course, the change in poi you observed is the same observed in BOSS systems. which makes sense, but as to the raise in poi, I'm at a loss.

Yeah that has been something that has puzzled me for a while. I getting to the point of calling it bullet push and just dealing with it rather than trying to solve the mystery, But it has been fun testing. I have also took a tap Remer and went ½ inch farter into the can and it helped on different calabers.308 in a 300rum.This lets the gases open up evenly inside the can rather than letting it out run the bullet getting to the can. Sounds strange but If I can find the pictures I’ll show you what I’m talking about,

we use 50 cans on 30, 30 on 22 all the time (depending on who forgot to bring what) , only difference is less  efficency.
personally I wish they could be made out of graphite or something, I don't like the way they through the gun off balance.

Yeah, but anything change the whipping, swelling and turning of a barrel will thro it off somewhat. It is amazing the stands up to what it dose under heat and 3 different pressures going 3 different ways at the same time.
