Can someone help me decide between the ATN 4-12x60 scope, or the Super Sniper 10x44 side focus. I read good things about both. this is going on my tactical Savage 26" 10FP-LE2. I like the SS for the rep it has but Ilike the ATN for the features it has.

IMO buy the SS. It ranks up there with a MK IV with out the cost.

I have no experience with the ATN's but I have not heard anything good about them. The Super Sniper on the other hand, I have used and is a good scope for the money.

ATN seems to have decent optical quality, but very spotty mechanical assembly.  Go with a Super Sniper.

To me, mentioning the SS in the same breath as ATN is an insult.

OKAY, as I've just dumped my ATN 3-12x60 (with a smile) and bought a SS 10x42, I can tell you that anything would be an upgrade for my Savage 10FP - 308.
The ATN looks good, is bright and clear, built out of a girder, but I grew to hate it.
You have to really concentrate to make sure your eye is in exactly the same place every time you take a shot, because the cross hairs wonder around all over the place when you move.
I wouldn't get one again.
I ordered my SS 10x42 today, and after all that I've read about it, it should be a far FAR better buy than any ATN.

Got my SS 10x42 today.......  I LIKE IT !!!!

Absolutely no comparrison. The ATN I had was not in the same league, ball park or planet. Get the SS, you'll love it.

Now that I've had time to mount and zero my new SS 10x42, I can say with a very happy smile on my face, that it is quite superior to the ATN scope it replaced.

Mounted on my Savage 10FP-LE (308), for the very first time I actually got 5 rounds very nearly through the same hole at 100 yards, and only slightly larger group at 200 (Black Hills match molly ammo). The ATN is so vague, I rarely got two round holes to touch. The SS is a vastly superior scope and was worth every penny!

Hi Remfan.Good move. The ATN is junk. Also to big and heavy. It would be much more deadly in combat as a club, than a rifle scope.Go with SuperSniper.                                    Hi CHEAPTRICK.I saw the snapshot of one of your rifles WOW NICE SETUP!!!

Cheaptrick,Is the sunshade on your SS the same color as the scope? It don't matter much. But My sunshade is not as dark as the scope.I was just wondering if anyone has a SS with a missmatch sunshade?Thank you.

I have a SS 16x on the way .It should work out great on my reworked 1022.I see ATN sells some $7,000.00 scopes so I assumed they would all be very good quality.Glad I learned about the Super snipers and how everyone favor them. One thing though,I really did like the three post dot rectical on the ATN.

I'm color blind, but The Warden told me they match up pretty good.
