Im looking for a scope for my 16" target/varmit AR

I use this rifle at the range punching paper 100- 200 yards max ( the range is 200 yards max)

I dont shoot competetively, just for fun, but I want an accurate scope none the less

Im considering the Burris FFII 3x-9x, but am open to other suggestions in the $200 market

At these ranges (100-200yrds) would I need or want an Adjustable Obj?

or would that only be a benifit for less than 100yards (I wont be shooting at less than 100yrds)

also what about parallax, I dont fully understand this yet but what do I need to know about Parallax when choosing a scope given the distances I will be shooting?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and offer any help

No, you don't want an AO.  Burris claims parrallax free at 150.  You wouldn't notice it at 100/200.  I had a Burris 6x one time that exhibited a lot of parrallex at 100 and huge at 200.  I dropped it off at their plant in Greeley, and the next day picked it up.  Spot on.  When they attempt to set to spec in production they just get it "kind of close".  If yours isn't close enough, send it to em and they will put it whereever you want it.  AO is useful if you really need it, but if you don't then it is just useless complexity.  The AO ring might also make you have to go up another notch in mount height.  I do most of my shooting just like you--plinking in the 100 to 200 yd range.  When I occaisionally set up for 3 or 400, I just make an effort to keep my eye centered in the image and ignore the miniscule parrallex that might be present.  btw, you might want to consider a fixed power for all the same logic, unless having a power ring to fool around with adds more fun to the shooting.  Which it usually does.
