Well, one myth he spouted was that America only has 3% of the petroleum in the world. He needs to get a winch truck and pull his head out of his ass.

If we start drilling today it will take ten years to see a single drop. BS
If it was true, then why weren't we drilling ten tears ago.

All my life I've driven past oil wells that were not pumping in South Texas.  My grandfather said they regulated how much oil you were allowed to pump out of the well and kept the level so low that often the well would sand in because they wouldn't let enough oil be pumped out.  My dad said he bought gas once in Wyoming where you could see an oil field and a refinery from the gas station and the gas was more expensive at that gas station that what it cost most other places.  Price is not always determined by availability.

Everyone is talking about the "greed of wall street" what thay should be saying is the "greed of the oil companies" and the "incompetence of our politicians"   I think they just sold us all into slavery.

Price of gasoline is probably more directly related to the refinery capacity and availability than to price of oil.

That leads to another problem, we need new and more efficient refineries.

The Democrats won't let us drill, or build refineries. They won't let us build nuke plants. The news media blames Republcans for being in pockets of oil companies and gas prices being high. The Democrats and Clinton changed financing laws and regulations to force lending institutions to loan money on homes to people who couldn't afford them, so the Dems could say look more people own their own homes. When the Republicans tried to change the reg.s the Dems blocked them and said your just being mean to poor people. When lending institutions started going belly up because people were defaulting on their loans, the news media said well it's a Republican President it must be his fault.
Is it just me? Seems to me like the first 6 years of Bush's terms the economy was fine, especially considering we are at war. The Republicans held the House those 6 years, and the Senate for 4 of them. The stockmarket was at 14,000 and gas was under $2.50 or less, Unemployment was under 5.5%.
2 years ago the Democrats took over the House and Senate, and now gas is $4.00, unemployment is 6% and rising, the stockmarket is 10,000 and falling, and we are hoping we don't go into a DEPRESSION from the resession we are in. Yet the news media and the Democrats keep saying it's the Republicans FAULT.
I think old Joe has told more than 14 LIES, as well as alot of other Democrats and the news media. But I'm not mad, and the Pope aint Catholic.Baseball%20Bat

Why have most of the inland refineries been closed leaving the ones along the coast. Vulnerable to terrorist attacks and hurricanes. Would we not be better serves by spreading the assets in stead of having them in one basket?
Loco

YEAH! Union county South Dakota, vote yes for Hyperion refinery. I need a new job anyway. I am told if this goes through, it will be the first refinery built from the ground up in the U.S. in over 20 years.
