I'm trying to mount a Burris XTR on an AR-15 flat top varmint rifle, but the scope has forward placed turrets so the eyepiece is back about 1.5" too far for
comfort. Is it better to get a scout rail from YHM and mount beefy rings, or get a one piece armalite mount that places the scope farther forward on the rail? thanks |

As long as you buy quality components, it does not matter much. Generally, a single piece mount has fewer ways for things to go wrong. If you can afford it, consider a LaRue mount. They are expensive, but the best there is.
