Does anyone use the Warne grooved receiver rings on a Tikka T3? If so could you tell me what scope you have mounted, what size Warnes you have, and what the clearance is between the objective and the barrel?

I want to mount a Wotac 4-14x50mm (exterior 57.5mm)scope on my Tikka with these rings, but I don't know if I need the med of high rings.

Thanks!

I think most of us are using Talley light weigh rings for Tikka's.

I read up on the Talley's and they look pretty good.

If you're using these, could you please post:

1) what scope you have mounted
2) what size Talley's you are using
3) the clearance you have between the objective and the barrel

That way I can hopefully figure out which ones I will need.
Thanks!

I had the Warnes on a Tikka T3 camo (300WM), very good rings, not as light as the Talleys, very strong, the vertical rings make it a little more challenging to mount the first time or two.

Mediums should do fine, I mounted a 44mm (Conquest) and had enough clearance.  With yours, you should be good with medium and will have room for a Butler Creek too.

I like the look of the Talleys more, but the Warnes are very strong, not dainty rings.

I've moved away from mounting things on the Tikka rail, I prefer the Talley rings with integral bases that mount on the reciever, but that is pure preference.
