If you do can you chime in or pm me. I'm speaking of the 30 mm tube PHs.

Thanks.

I own a 6-24X50 PH and have used multiple different models from the PH series.  What would you like to know?

I too am a Zeiss guy, but do have a PH 4-16x50 TDS.  Good glass, I would say on par with Conquest, but not as good as Diavari.  Holds a zero well, tracks well.  Overall very good scope.  The TDS reticle is one of the best holdover reticles I have used.

Have several, 1.25-4x24, 1.5-6x42, 2.5-10x42.  All good glass, as good as my Kahles Helia C & CBX.  Good scopes.  What would you like to know?

I think you'd be happy with them.  What caliber rifle are you looking to put one on?  What scope are you looking at?

I have the same scope and really like it. But I would have to say the glass on mine is a few steps above the conquest.

I was wondering how the glass was compared to the new Z6 models Zeiss Victory and Kahles.

I'm looking to put a 3-12x50 on top a 270 wsm.

I have a Z6 1-6x24 as well as the Kahles CL and C series to go with my PH scopes.  I can't really say one is that much better than another to my eyes.  I would suggest going with one that you're getting a good deal on.

The big difference between the 4 is the eye relief.  The PH has the shortest (80 mm/3.1").  But the PH also has a spring loaded eyepiece so you won't get the scope mark on your eye if it does kick back.

The PH also has resettable windage and elevation.  You just have to pull up the dial, rezero it and seat it back down.  Much easier than the Kahles.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Yes.

I have a 1.5-6X42 PH (from SWFA Big Grin) mounted on a Sako 75 in .308.

It was my first scope and I compared it at a local store side by side to the Zeiss, Nikon, and Leupolds of the time.

To my eye the Swaro was slightly clearer than the Zeiss, better than the Nikons, and Leupold wasn't even in the ballpark with it.  If I was assigning a 1-10 number scale to that comparison with 10 being the highest it would be:

Swarovski 10
Zeiss 9.8
Nikon 8
Leupold 5-6

Remember, that was more than 10 years ago, and it was how they looked to my eyes (your mileage may vary).

There are more manufacturers producing much better glass now, so the field is more competative.  That, and the way their prices have skyrocketed have me looking at other options for new toys.

P.S.  The springloaded eyepiece is a great feature also.
