I'm curious if anyone has seen these, worked with them, or read any reports on them.  I'm putting together a hunting rifle and would love to have a scope with a mildot reticle and turret knobs.  But I'm curious if they are any good or not.

In particular I'd like to hear whether the elevation knob resets itself properly to zero.

Thanks,

Ben

If I'm thinking of the same scope, shot next to a couple seals visiting the local range with their deployment gear.  Had them mounted on supressed SR-25's,  2 years before Leupold released them to the public.
My guess is they hold up just fine given the folks who first used them.

I'm not having any luck finding info about them on the web.  No reviews, no nothing.  I'm thinking of having a mil dot reticle and a elevation turret on a VXIII I have.  But if these are good maybe I should just trade it in?

If the newer MK4s are just outfitted VXIIIs then it would make sense to me that the MK2 would be a lesser scope as well, maybe a VXII or something.

I'm inclined to go with Mike on this one, I'm sure there is better out there though, but that isn't an answer to your question per se.
I believe super to be correct in his assumption. The scope should be very dependable, and will likely have few if any issues as Leupold makes very durable and reliable scopes.
