I have not used this one, but I have yet to see a variable binocular that is usable in the field (aside from Leica Duovid which is not continuously variable).  It is very difficult to make a variable that balances both light paths properly and consistently.

More often than not, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I've used the 7-15x35mm Nikon Action Zoom (Before I knew better).

The bins function fine up to 8x then they get a little "fuzzy" from 8x to 10x and anything over 10x, you can't stand to look at, the resolution is horrible.

I agree with Koshkin variable power bins (unless they cost an arm and a leg) are not much use in the field.

Stay away from any "zoom".  They are like looking through two straws.  Horrible field of view, resolution and light transmission.

Leica does not classify theirs as a "zoom" as noted by Koshkin.
