Wondering whether to sell mine. I was playing around with it (have still not mounted it on any rifle of mine since getting it almost 1 year ago) - I was going to use it on my AR rifles just for when I needed some extra magnification past 3x or 4x, but now I'm wondering if I really need that.
When comparing my Conquest to the SS variable, it seems like it is not as forgiving on eye position and relief. You have to be "spot on" for eye position - a little too forward or back and you lose a full picture.
Anyone else have this issue?

I have the 2.5 X 8 Conquest on a Fulton heafy barrel 223 - Nice accurate combination but a little heavy for a "walking varmint" gun which is what I use it for. I like the scope a lot. It holds zero, the clicks are 1/4 inch and they really move the point of impact 1/4" and the optics are sharp and bright.
My comparison is an odser (five years or so) Leo 2. X 8 VXIII which has more forgiving eye position but is not as sharp optically. The Conquest feels lighter - the Leo is obviously built like a tank. Both are great scopes and I hear the new VX-3 matches the Conquest in optics.
I have a Magpul adjustable stock which allows me to position my cheek in about the same spot every time. When I got this the eye position was no longer important. When I had the old A2 stock it sometimes took a fraction of a second to get positioned.
For me the 2.5 - 8 Conquest works wrll on the AR platform and the aftermarket Magpul stock makes the eye position a non issue.

greywolf if you decide to sell I'd be interested providing the price is reasonable. BTW the 2.5-8x32 model was discontinued by Zeiss.

Yeah, I saw that it wasn't offered any more. May have already gotten it sold - seems these are popular.
