Was wondering who makes them and if you have any experience with them.

I seem to recall that they are either Weaver or Simmons, but I could be wrong.  I thought about their "hunter" package once upon a time, but ended up getting a pro hunter and putting a burris on it.  couldn't be happier.  Nothing bad on the TC scopes, but for a pistol setup, I went with Burris. Good luck.

I was thinking for some reason that they were made by Nikon, but I'm not sure.

I have a lot of TC stuff ,all well made, but none of their scopes. I would expect them to be a mid level scope better than the low end stuff not as good as Bushnell 4200, Nikon Monarchs and Leu VX3 and no where near the zeiss.  I have looked at them and if you can find a good deal they should be an OK scope.  A lot of game has been taken with scopes that  arent all that expensive. What you get when you start adding money is special features, balistic reticles, better glass, target knobs, and other special features some of which can make a huge difference should that one in a lifetime trophy walk past you.  I've had three deer in the 200+ class that were simply further than I was willing to attempt a shot with an average middle of the road quality Nikon Omgea on a musket.

Weaver, Simmons and Nikon do not "make" scopes. They contract with various Pacific Rim companies to make scopes with their name on them. And not all Weaver, Simmons and Nikon scopes are made in the same factories.

Same deal with T/C. They made be made in the same factory as some other brands, but in any of this the "name" brand pays for the features they want. The same fatcory can make anything from very inexpensive to very expensive optics, depending on what the "name" company wants.

I thought that the older ( early nineties ) TC scopes were the spitting image of the contemporary Weaver scopes of the day.  I don't think the later model TC scopes look so much like the Weavers anymore.
