Looking at getting a 22-250 for the smaller stuff, and have been checking out Les Johnson on his predator show bagging coyotes with his Howa/Axiom .204.
This is one cool looking rifle. What do you guys think about'em? |

les johnson must know where the dumbest coyotes in the world are, cause ive never seen a coyote hunter move as stupidly as he does and still gets close shots. rant on les johnson off.
as far as the gun goes the howa 1500 is used for making the weatherby vanguard as im sure you are aware of. they are pretty good actions and i the accuracy on them is pretty good. |

He does does move around a lot, now that you mention it. As for barrel length, would anything shorter than 24" be discouraged for a 22-250? |

I handled one in BPS a few months back it felt pretty good, solid, but there are better options, IMO

i wouldnt think so. i myself prefer barrels of 24" or longer but im the exception more than the rule. i really like 26" barrels. my 22-250 has a 24" tube, with coyotes stealth is valuable, and shorter barrels can be moved with less effort which is a good thing. |

I think the stock design is a personal thing, you either love it or hate it.

I don't like the balance of the Axiom. I can't really see why you need a recoil reducing stock on a 22-250. It just seems to be a gimicky rifle. Varmitaticool. That sells a lot of rifles.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow Now the rules have changed again. |
