These two scopes are pretty similar in price point and specs, from what I can tell. The variations between model lines seem largely difference without distinction. I've seen reviews on Revolutions, and some scattered, meaningless video and gun rag babble on the Revenge, but would like to know if anyone has looked at both or knows of links to reviews.

What I'm wondering is stuff like construction and glass clarity, and how they rank in Redfield's hierarchy. I think a head-to-head test between the two lines would be as interesting as competitor comparisons. Thanks for any information.

The Revolutions are made in the Leupold plant while the new Revenge are made over seas somewhere (China?). Also the Reticle in the Revenge just seems silly to me. I don't know about where you hunt but where I do no deer sits still long enough to give you enough time to figure that "rangeing" reticle. I like the Revolutions and think they are well built and offer good quility for the money. Never seen a Revenge in person.

I like it!  I looked at both the Revenge and Revolution and ended up purchasing the Revenge 4x - 12x with ACCU-RANGE.  I actually waited for it to arrive to the market place as it was just released. It is marked Philippines.  The Clarity is impressive and in my opinion I cannot tell the difference between the Leupold or Redfield when it comes to quality and clarity.  I have no complaints on the price either.

Now for the Accu-Range feature, I use it for target shooting and it comes in handy when judging distance on that buck.  You don't need to dig out the rangefinder for accurate distance.  You never have to take your eyes off the target from calculating the distance and the shot.  I have also found it to be very accurate at different distances from 50 yd to 500 yd.

Check it out for yourself.

Cheers!  Cheers
