Just wondering if anyone has heard of these, and if their any good.  I know stag and DPMS stuff are good, but these guys are very close to my house, and I can pay a little cash and addition to the card.  thanks.  http://www.americanspiritarms.net/store.php?crn=208&rn=425&action=show_detail

Thanks Ronk.  I'm gonna get that stripped lower next week.  It's only 125.00.  I'll save money on the shipping.  This way I can see what I'm getting before I buy it.  I hope you guys are right on these things not being too difficult to assemble.  I imagine it would be beneficial to know the workings of the innards.  Not sure if that made sense.  Thanks.

im sure that there are a few members here who have an idea of how to assemble said rifle very well, probably blindfolded in most cases!

They are very well-designed firearms and user-friendly to assemble and disassemble. The only trouble you may run into is trying to fit certain Colt components to other brands. I don't remember all the ins and outs but the Colts use larger diameter pins to hold the upper and lower receivers together.  I think you can get adapter pins, though. Somebody will come along shortly to explain this more thoroughly, I'm quite sure.

Incidently, the best book I've ever read about this platform is one written by Glenn Zediker. It's entitled "The Competitive Ar15- The Mouse that Roared."  I recommend it highly.
It is a bit heavy on Hi-Power competition, but there's a lot of info in it useful to anybody who owns or wants to own an AR.

Most AR stuff Uppers Receivers ect are made by a few companies and then the Big companies put them together and call them their own, just look at forge markings on the uppers. RRA DPMS BM ect
