Remember, to some, antler size may not be what defines a "trophy"...

No, I live and hunt in Texas.  A friend of mine sent that pic to me.

I hear there's some pretty good whitetail hunting in Michigan, though.  Have you had a chance to do much hunting this year, Doug?

Nope, I was content to be up north on Lake Superior, though. I had contracting being done. A friend up there shot a huge 8 point that was 253 lbs dressesd. I didn't take the time to take a pic when I went through town because it was off the pole and in his truck. It was a horse. I'll call him and see if I can get a pic sent.

How about you, get one or have the time?

Doug

I've been out hunting every weekend since the season started in October.  Our season ends the first weekend in January, and other than the obligatory holiday visits with family, I will be in the woods every weekend possible for the remainder of the season.  I've seen a few deer, but haven't shot one yet.  I did kill a hog, but that's it so far.

253 lbs. DRESSED -- WOW... "horse" is right!  Definitely send a pic if you get a chance!

Good luck, that is a long season you have.

The fellow that took the deer owns the Silver Creek Tavern south of Paradise http://www.paradisemichigan.org/, Michigan. The buck pole contest was in town at http://www.paradiserecsport.com/

I'll try to get pics this week.
