It had to happen. I hate that it had to happen, but many of you know I represent Seeadler-Optik here in the U.S. . Well, I recently found out from the owner that they have hit hard times with their riflescope output. Seems one of their major part suppliers went bankrupt, taking a lot of prepaid cash with them. The inventory just expired, so now they are only producing Binos. Binos have always been a Seeadler mainstay in Europe, but the scopes have always been my bread-and-butter, as higher-priced binos have never done well for me here in the South. I guess I will have to concentrate on binos now, though. I was told they are taking at least a year's reprieve from scope manufacturing, while they search for a new supplier. When they return to manufacturing, it will only be a small line-up of scopes.

Anyway, I know that no one here had any dealings with Seeadler, but thought you all might be interested in knowing another one of Germany's optics companies was having hard times. I personally hope all goes well for them. I hated seeing Pecar-Berlin and Lisenfeld go out of business, and hope Seeadler can pull through.

I've considered going into optics repping, how does one take the first step?

Chris could probably help here too.

And going to SHOT in Jan might help too, huh.
