Hello Fellows,
I need some help from the experts. For the last couple of years, I have been using a set of Vortex Vipers
8X42. I have to say that they have really worked well. However, I have that nagging feeling for something
a little better. My budget is 1000 dollars. Is there something out there a little better for that price range.

A hunt whitetail and turkey in Alabama and Kansas. I need something that works well in low light with crisp image. I know you have heard that before.

I have only posted on the forum a couple of times, but visit everyday to see what you guys are saying about
anything optics related. Thanks for the help.

I'd suggest looking at the Vortex Razors, Meopta Meostars or an used set of Kowa, Zeiss, Leica or Swaro's.  The Vipers are a pretty decent set of optics, what ever you chose make sure they offer a substantial difference to your eyes to justify your purchase.  You maybe surprised either for or against.

The Razors definitely have better glass. Those other recommendations sound good to me too. I would recommend, if possible, that you try some out. I've been surprised how some high end bins just didn't feel comfortable while some lower-end ones did. Another to consider (since you mentioned a budget up to a grand) are the Pentax 8x43 DCF EDs. But I thought the Razors were just as good (and this was before Vortex went to dielectric prism coatings). They're $178 less.
