Yesterday was another day at the AZ Practical Rifle course. Pictures can be found at azprc.net. Sunday was a sight-in/newby day, and no official score was kept. Course of fire is 10 targets, 2 rounds per target, for a total of 20 rounds. All firing points are field/ improvised positions, targets are of varying ranges, size, and shape. Most targets are sub-MOA size for there respective range. Also, this is a very steep angle course as well. Ranges vary from 250 yards to 1034 yards.
I had 4 first round hits (worth 10 points) and no second round hits(worth 5 points) for a total of 40. This really beat my only other trip over there which was one second round hit. I really need to work on the recoil management and not rushing the follow up. Over all it was a really fun match, and some valuable lessons.

It is a lot of fun! The cold-bore shot for my group was at 1034yds, at a 8" plate... I missed. According to the spotter I was 2" low and 3" right. Sure wish I didn't have that second cup of coffee now!Bucky

Now that they are plentiful again, I am back to the 178gr. AMAX. 175gr. Sierra Match kings are also really good out of my rifle. But with the price difference, AMAX rules the day!
