I've been looking at picking up a quality spotter...I won't get into brands because that's a whole different subject.  I'm interested in peoples preferences in angled vs. straight eye pieces and why you prefer one over the other.  The scope would be for glassing elk and caribou mostly.

Thanks for your suggestions!!

Having owned both my vote is for angled.

I find angled easier when:

1. Your rifle is on a sandbag or bipod and you are firing from the prone or table. It is easy to just turn your head from your rifle to the spotter and see where your rounds are landing.

2. You are standing or sitting and the spotter is on a tripod and you are viewing downward into the spotter.

**The only downside to the angled IMO is directional awareness. Many who are not use to a angled spotter with the angle turned left or right seem to always (at first) look in the wrong place for what they are viewing.

My vote is for straight.  It is always easier to line up the scope with the straight eyepiece to your target.
What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
