Some stuff on snipershide last week about some guy or karsten stole the idea from one or the other, didn't follow it very close. one difficulty of using elevated cheek pads is that the stock does not have the corresponding drop in the pistol grip also had a question on how the cheek device was going to grip the stock. most stocks that could use one are not stiff enough or offer enough resistent to tighten the nuts down.

These types of adjustable cheek pieces have been around forever. In the service I saw some cheek pieces made from the shells of old M16 stocks. Basically, they took apart an old M16 stock so the outer shell was separate, then cut off the top half of the shell and glued/bolted it onto the stock of another rifle in order to create a raised area.

I'm not really interested in them, but thought someone else might be.

Thank you, Gentlemen.

They have a lot of utility on m1a, fn type stocks, when one doesn't want to go for $200-300 alternative.
