This past Saturday I put in some range time. I hardly ever shoots groups any more and only practice different shooting positions over variable diatances.

However on Sat I wanted to check my cold barrel or fouling shot against the subsequent shots. I also had a new batch of powder which I wanted to check against the previous batch.

So one shot a fouling shot, second a shot with old batch, third a shot with new powder batch.

I came up with this little beauty (all at 220yds...I also hardly ever shoot at 100yds)
There was a wind right to left pushing me off center and I was one click off 200m zero.

No I think that the 6mm AI is just so slow it takes a month for the bullet to get there.

I took the rifle on a hunt a while ago, and took some long shots on springbuck. I don't know how far it was, but luckily I had soaked my bullets in salt the night before so the meat did not spoil by the time we got to the buck.Wink

maybe I'm captain obvious, but all of you military types ought to realize that the only quasi-military thing that Euros and Afrikaners do is keep a calendar...oh, and they like to negotiate a lot.  That, plus he said it was saturday, which was the 7th:  7 June 2014.

I stuck with the Nosler Accubond 70gr, going only for head/neck shots.

Yes, if you go sequentially it should be day/month/year. Only we muck that up over here.
