I just purchased a Bushmater M4 type Patrolman's carbine, the A3 (removable handle) model.  I want to get the Aimpoint CompM3.  I would like to mount it on the carry handle with the aimpoint ARMS #16A Aimpoint M16 A/A2 Comp Mount but am unsure if it will fit on the A3 handle, because of the A/A2 spec.  Has anyone used this setup on an AR15 handle.  If so pics would be great.  If this setup won't work any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

No offense, but why would you WANT to mount the Aimpoint on the carry handle??

You have an A3 receiver, mount it on the rail, Brother. Lot better application.

Nice rifle, BTW.

What mounts would you reccomend? I would like quick detach and still want the front iron sight to be viable if I get a rear flip up.  Basically I need to see some other setups, I have searched the net and have seen pictures of what I think I want but no descriptions of the hardware used.

Thanks for the link,

Is that setup a co-witness set-up?  I am still considering the arms quick-detach mount with a spacer...., I would really like to purchase everything I need from swfa if possible, as long as I'm not sacrificing quality to do so..

This mount would co witness the bottom 1/3 of your site picture.

Meaning, when you look through your BUIS, the "dot" will appear in the bottom 1/3 of your optic.

Make sense??

I recommended what I have used.

I have not used the Arms M2 mount, but I'm sure it would work well for you.

Add to the fact that SWFA sells them too.

I just don't like carry handle optic mount, when you already have a A3 receiver.

Once again thanks for the info cheaptrick, I think I'm gonna go with this setup.

The rifle with these optics will be a great addition to my tactical collection.

I think I will go with the ARMS mount, with medium spacer.   I am probably gonna order on thursday or friday.

I haven't found a whole lot of reviews on this mount but for the price I'll give it a try.

I'll be sure to get pics up as soon as I get em' mounted,  probably mid next week..

I'll have to put of the purchase for a couple weeks, My car broke down and its costing me about $600   ,  funny isn't it, that's about how much the Aimpoint setup was gonna cost me, anyway as soon as I get it I'll post pics,  for now I'll just have to settle with the iron sights, and use my Varminter with th SS10x42m.  Thanks again for the suggestions.
