Has anyone used an AIM brand scope yet?   Keeper or garbage?

I've been offered the pick of the litter from an AIM distributor as a trade for a cheapo rifle, but i'm not sure if I want to bother with this brand..   I'm assuming it's chinese made stuff, not expecting much,  but an honest opinion from you guys would be nice to read Bucky

Here's their website incase you need a brand refresher http://www.aimsportsinc.com/  (top right to skip the irritating intro )

thanks

haha yea.. the prices, and overuse of the word "tactical" kinda give it away... but i'm trading a POS remmy 597 so I don't mind chinese, just as long as it holds up..

Anyone try them yet?

I would keep the Rem 597. And if I remember correctly Volquartsen makes some up grade parts for it.

no?

I can either sell that crap rifle for a fraction of what it's worth to put towards for a decent scope,  or,  trade it for a china scope of "equal value"...

The china scope route seems so much easier, someone tell me that AIM brand is good Big Grin

Yeah you're right, and I got those Volq parts installed..  but the trigger is still way too heavy for me. I also just picked up a cz 452, my first decent .22lr.  I doubt i'll ever touch my remington ever again, LOL

If the rifle works, it is better than a scope that doesn't.

If the rifle will fire, it is better than a scope that may only work as a short club. Even if the rifle doesn't fire, it is a longer club than the scope.  Shocked

So it's OK for them to make your favorite take out but not good enough to make your scope?Listen... they are still good enough to throw in a little lead which is getting to become a scarse metal. You guy's should be bowing to them just like our President does.

Seems like those guns sell easily for $100-120 around here. You could sell it and go buy a Tasco for $30 that would probably be just as good as one of those scopes and have $70-90 in your pocket. Or you could sell the rifle and pay a little more and get a really nice scope.

IMO the rifle is worth way more than those scopes are even though they aren't the greatest rifles out there.

I am in the keep the rifle camp!... I'd much rather have a working rifle than a may work scope.

They look amazingly like a NC Star scope to me, re-badged of course. I wonder if they come come complete with the plastic lenses?

Lots of opinions, but likely not too many owners making comments. After using a 2.5x10 with very rugged use and not baby'd at all, scope has stood up very well. To answer your question, this scope is just fine. A lot more expensive scopes on my other guns have nothing over this one.

Dude, you just resurrected a 3 year old post to defend those things? Nice..... I believe I have since read that they literally are made by NC Star.
