It seems to be a great deal on aetec scopes right now. The 4x14x44 IR on sale for 139.00. It even has a rebate too. Anyone have any feedback on the quality of these scopes? Will they hold up to recoil and are the optics and glass any good?  Thanks

The old Aetec scopes were really amazing for the price point. I've had one on my 30 06 for years with great service. Its actually better in low light than my vx iii that cost 3 times as much!!! Now when Meade instruments took over the Aetec line took a hit. So bad that a local gunshop here in Tupelo stopped carring them i was told due to failures. Now, on the flip side i know a few ppl using them with no problems. Ever the new ones seem to be very crisp and clear, but like i said Ive herd several bad reports relating to durability. Maby someone on here more knowledgeable than myself can tell you more. But in my personally opinion at that price, and granted your mounting it on a moderate recoil rifle you may do just fine. Just my 2 cents. Mady PYRO or someone can chime in with more info

I have used both the old ones and new ones.... I have "heard" mixed results on both.. what I have "seen" is that they both work fine, for what they are, and have held up admirably for me. I personally would not hesitate to buy another one.

I was thinking about getting one for a 10/22 of mine.  From what I've read the Aetec line of scopes seems to be a pretty good deal for the money.  Is the new Master Series Model made in China?

I would like to hear more feedback from people who own or have tested this scope also.
