This is a Bushnell trophy, right?

I am not sure what the intended use of the rifle is, but unless it is something long range thia way too much of a scope for your rifle.  For a big game hunting rifle you may be better served with somtheing along the lines of a 3-9x40.  FIgure how much you want to spend and choose:

Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40
SIghtron S2 3-9x42
Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40
Nikon Monarch 3-9x40
Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5-10x40
Burris Signature 3-10x40

These scopes are in a $200 to $400 range.  There are less and more expensive scopes out there, but I think these offer the most for the money.

Alternatively you could just go with fixed magnification 6x scopes.  There your best deals are

Burris Fullfield II 6x40
Sightron S2 6x42
Nikon Monarch 6x42

If you're going to spend $400, don't forget the Leupold VX III 2.5-8X36.  Super quality and much smaller and lighter than most of those listed above.  If you're going to spend $200, get the Burris FF II.
