The ad for the Team Primos Monarchs stated a price of $199.  I tried to buy one a few days ago.  Clicked on the ad on the homepage.  Directed me to the page for the scope.  Price on that page said $219.  Thought it might be a typo so I put ont in the cart.  Cart price said $219.  Can anyone tell me what the price really is.  The homepage ad was up for too long for it to be a mistake.

SWFA staff:  If the price is $199, can you tell me (and anyone else) how to order it for that price online?  I work long hours through the week and don't have a chance to call during your business hours.  Thanks.
Justin

I just ordered one last week and paid $200.  Looks like they raised the price and removed the banner on their homepage.  I don't blame them maybe the stock is getting low.  You snooze you lose.  But seriously they were $200 for the past 6 months at least what were you waiting for?

Realistically they are a $300.00 scope and compare well with scopes in the $400.00 range.  They still are a great buy ant $219.00

It was last week that I tried to buy one.  The banner was up at that time.  I used the banner to link me to the scope to buy it.  The banner said $200.  Clicked on that banner and the next page said $219.  Back and forth a few times, just to make sure.  Every route I could take to get to the info page on the primos brought me to the same $219 purchase price.  This was while the banner was still up on the main page.  In fact, yesterday was the first time I have not seen the monarch ad.  If the price went up and the banner just didn't come down at the same time, then that's the way it is.  At the time, I just didn't understand why it was still being advertised at a different price than the cart reflected price.  I just wanted to be sure of what the price is.  Can someone from swfa verify, please?

I have no experience with the BDC.  Typically, I don't like busy reticles.  I have two other monarchs and like them.  But I didn't know about the BDC.  My thoughts were that for $60 more I would rather have another 4200 with standard duplex and know I'll like it.  Kept seeing the banner and finally decided that, for the money, it was worth a gamble.  That's when I decided to buy one.  That's what I was waiting for- my mind to change.  When it did, the banner linked me to a different price.  Must've caught it on the transition day.  Oh, well.

The Nikon BDC reticle is not really what i would call "busy".  It just has 4 extra dots on the lower verticle crosshair.  I own the 4200 and I just bought the Team Primos for my father.  When I bought the 4200 it was only $250 so with the Rainguard it was a no brainer.  But with the Team Primos at $200 and the 4200 at $290 I thought the Team Primos with it's extra eye relief for my father's 30.06 was the no brainer.  Now with the Team Primos up $20 they start to become a toss up both are great but the Team Primos is still the best bang for buck out there today.

I don't think it is all that great 90 days or something, not worth it just spend the extra $40 and get the lifetime warranty.

The price did go up for 2009 to $219.95.  Depending on what browser you use it can cache images like the banner on the front page.  Usually clicking the refresh button will get you the current content.  You can also do a hard refresh if that does not work (ctrl F5)

Hey Chris out of curiousty is Nikon still making the Team Primos or was it a one time manufacturing run?  Also same question for the 3-9x40 Elite 4200.  I always wondered if these were just made to use up discontinued parts or if they are continuing to make them in large quantities and that is why they can sell for so low.

Chris, that cache thing seems to make sense.  (I'm not very computer savvy, so I'll take your word for it.)  Especially if the price changed at the first of the year.  I know I saw the banner into the second, and maybe third week of January.  I'll keep the refresh thing in mind and hopefully avoid any similar confusion in the future.

Rifle Looney, I hear you about the samplelist.  That is a heck of a lot of scope for the money.  I've never had a problem with any of my monarchs or elites, so I've never needed the warranty, but it sure is nice to know it's there.  To me, it's worth another $20.  But probably not $40.  At least not on a scope that cost $180.  Hmmm.  I think you may have talked me into another purchase.  It figures- just when I lose my self control, a price increase saves me from upsetting the missus.  Then you show me another deal that I can't turn down.  I'm going to blame this scope on you.  If my wife calls you, good luck- she's mean.  Wink

Actually they dropped their minimum advertised price policy on the discontinued VX-III, there has been NO mark down on the new VX-3.

You don't he was asking about the refurbished Nikon scopes.  If you bought it new obviously you get the full Monarch warranty.  Still a decent scope for $250 but not the no brainer like when it was at $200.  I have the Bushnell 4200 3-9x40 and my father has the Team Primos.  We went out shooting the other day and I thought the Primos was brighter and I definitely noticed the Nikon's more generous eye relief.  It kind of makes me wish I would have gone with the Primos myself.
