I've shot this combo before (M16A4 with a Trijicon ACOG)  Was able to hit a man size target from head to waist 6 times out at 800 meters all in the chest.  Was able to determine distance quickly and put rounds on target.  Shot an unknown distance course with 10 steel targets anywhere from 75 meters to 600 meters.  Hit 8 out of ten, and the two I missed I saw the bullet impact at the foot of the target.  I had about 8 seconds to squeeze off each shot.  They are very easy to use with both eyes open.  I would engage targets closer than 300 meters with both eyes open and targets farther than 300 I would use one eye closed, since that is considered a precision shot.  I'll be buying one because they are an awsome piece of gear.  It makes a good spotters scope for military/Law Enforcement Sniper Teams.  Not only can they allow the spotter to make quick range estimates, but they also allow for the spotter to make a quick follow up shot if needed.  They can also be used close in if a sniper team was compromised.  Thinking about it I would rather have this scope for urban sniping missions rather than a fixed 10 power SS10x42 which I also own.  Urban shots aren't quite as far as out in the field shots anyways and if you get into a CQB engagement the scope is still a threat to the enemy because of the ease of use in CQB of this optic.  Low light, no problem.  Was able to hit 5 inch circle targets every time at 200 meters a half hour after sun down.  After about 45 min though I needed a little loom.  No problem taking the scope off and back on.  Did it 20 times and never lost zero.

Edit=  Forgot to add one thing.  Have also used with 9mm simmunition paint rounds in CQB,  worked awsome took a beating and didn't lose zero when I went back to 5.56mm.  Before entering target building was able to look in the windows of the house and actually picked off a few bad guys.  Took some serious Kentucky windage with those 9mm sim rounds from farther than 75 meters but close in it didn't matter.
