I would like to know what is the difference between the Nosler Accubond ammo and the Hornady Interbond ammor, which one retains more energy and which one is better for hunting elk.

they are basicially the same thing, they just come in a different box and the hornady is cheaper.

You'll find that the interbond has a thicker jacket up front in the ogive area, where the accubond is thicker in the heel area. Their performance should be similar. I've read reports of interbonds not expanding, but if you look long enough you can find reports of any bullet failing. I've used them both to great effect.

Price around where I live seems to only be about 3-4 cents more for the Accubonds (.308 165 gr). So that's not a factor to me. I've gotten really good results with A-maxs but other Hornady bullets haven't been as good as the Accubond and I really wanted a good hunting bullet. My beef with Nosler is their BC number for the Accubond is too high. Bryan Litz' number is much more realistic. I don't know if Hornady's number is inflated because Litz didn't test the Interbond. Both bullets do seem really similar and I'd just see which shoots best. I'm kind of interested in trying the Hornady GMX since other gilded bullets have shot well for me.

The accubond performs like a match bullet in the accuracy department and is still a huntin bullet,  I have not gotten any good (less than 1") accuracy groupings with the interbond in my experience of trying them.

I've shot both. The Accubond is designed to shed quite a bit of weight. As you loose weight, you also loose penetration. The Interbond does have a heavier jacket. Both are good bullets, but I like the Interbond better. They shoot just as accurate as the Accubond out of my rifles and I've put them through the test of penetrating both shoulders of whitetails and the neck of a cow elk and I have yet to recover one.I have on the other hand, recovered Accubonds. So for elk, good penetration is important,I'd go with the Interbond.

I like them both and they are very similar.  I have used the 154gr (.284) and the 200gr (.308), I don't have preference to either, but have based my choices on the available bullet weights.
