Just wondering about the prices of these binoculars. From what I've read these things are outstanding. They are high defenition with a special coating that repels water & dust, basically the same thing as Zeiss' loutech coating.

I've been looking at the price of the Nighthunters & wondering why the suggested retail is 1899.00 but they are being sold for roughly 1099.00 every where. How long has this model been on the market & why is Steiner knocking 800$ off the price?

Suggested retail is like the sticker price on a car, no one pays it.  It is set high to give the illusion that you are getting a deal.

All of the Steiner Nighthunters are very good binoculars.  I love hunting with them because of the individual eye focus.  Set them one time and you do not have to refocus at any distance.  Set it and forget it.  Great binos for climbing on top of a big hill and glassing from early morning to sun set.

I'm a hardcore Zeiss man but you just sold me on these for SWFA Excellent. I'd love the Zeiss 10x56s but the price is ouch!
