Newb to this forum, and still decently new to longer range shooting.  Tried doing a search for this, but couldn't find anything specifically related.  Besides price, what are the major differences between the Aadmount/Aaland mounts and the Burris PEPR?  I have a SWFA SS 16X42 mounted on my DPMS LR308 and have not had any issues.  I liked that SWFA so much that I just ordered a SWFA SS 5-20x50 for my Savage 110BA .338 LM.  I figured it was worth looking into the higher priced rings since I had stepped up from the $299 scope and relatively less expensive DPMS 308 to the high powered lapua mag and the most expensive scope I've ever bought.  I'm assuming the Aadmount is stronger than the Burris PEPR, which is obviously a plus for that caliber rifle.  Are there other significant differences, and is the difference in strength enough to justify paying more the double the amount for the rings?

Also, I would be mounting it on the Savage's picatinny rail, so would I be better off going with the 2 separate high triple lug rings, or the Aadland AR mount with 20 MOA slope?  Thanks in advance for any and all input.

Meant to say I have that scope mounted with the Burris PEPR.

Just a few recommendations -
Seekins Precision Scope 30mm Rings
Talley Tactical 30mm Rings
TPS TSR Scope 30mm Rings

Grifin Armament

Warne Tactical 30mm Rings

Badger Ordnance NSN Parts

American Rifle M10 30mm Rings

I personally use the seekins to hold my SS 5-20 on a 300 winny.  Although I think my next set of rings will be the American Rifles.  They look intriging to me and I like "different"

The Aadlands will also work well. On the bolt gun I would recommend the the regular rings over the one piece. I believe my 5-20 has about 18 mils of "up" when mounted on a 20 minute rail. That will get you a long way with a 338...

For the bolt gun, use the separate rings, rather than a single piece mount.  The height will work better.

As far as the quality difference between an Aadmount and the PEPR goes, it is pretty much everything: materials, workmanship, tolerances, consistency, strength, etc.

PEPR is a good budget mount.
Aadmount is a superb mount without any budget disclaimers.

For what it is worth, I am slowly switching out all my mounts and rings to Aadland wherever applicable.  I use Aadland mounts for my articles, so I have a lot of mileage with them and their quality is superb.

For separate rings, Seekins are top-notch...light weight, strong, high quality and recessed fasteners.

Thanks for the info.  What about ring height?  I'm thinking I'll need the high setting with the 50mm.

I have the SS 5-20 in an Aadland mount on my 338LM.  Love the setup.  Of course the types of guns are different.  I have a DTA.  The Aadland works great on it or an AR platform, but would not be good on any of my bolt guns.

I have the 20 MOA Precision AR Scope Mount combinded with the integrate 20MOA rail on my Surgeon 1086R.  I get almost full travel out of the SS 5-20x.

The cheek pad is at the highest level, with the custom McRee cover.  The fit is perfect for me.

I choose that combo, because I needed the clearance for my Badger EFR, and I wanted to get close to 100% of the travel out of the 100MOA internal adjustment.
Since the rifle is a 284 Shehane, I wanted a scope and mount combo that would maximize my range.  Now it is as if I have a zero stop because it is super easy to find where my 100 yard zero is.
