I think the optics are quite tasty on a good piece of Angus.

Look at it this way; if nobody on this forum has any real experience with the, they probably are not anything you want.

I do alot of internet research and A1 may not be a big name yet with the limited time they have been available to the public but more reviews are sure to show up. Ever heard of Mueller or Swift rifle scopes? Not the most expensive scopes but just how disciminating is the human eye. No guts no glory. Both the rifle scope companys above are getting good reviews and competition is what makes the USA great.

Judging strickly from their web site mind you. I'd go with cheaptrick and ranburr on this one. Wal-Mart is a good ol' U.S. company too!! But it sure looks like it has China importer all over it!!

Swift and Mueller make nice scopes for their price.  Both have their problems though which are expected in their price range (Swift has problems with weatherproofing, both Swift and Mueller have fairly mediocre adjustments, both have pretty critical eye relief and very little tolerance for imprecise head position).  With optics, generally, you get what you pay for although there is a point of diminishing returns.  In my opinion, going beyond $300-$600 range really is not worth the money.  There are also some very nice scopes in the $200-$300 range.  At prices lower than that, except for a very few fixed mag (Burris 4x20) and low range variable scopes (Burris Fullfield II 1.75-5x20 and Weaver V3), you see a clear deterioration of both optical and mechanical quality.
