Hi to all,
I am looking for either an 8x42 or 10x42 binoc, but my budget is a bit tight, between US$ 100 and US$ 150. I will be using it basically for hunting.
Which brand and maginfication power would you recommend.

If you prefer roof prisms, take a look at the Vortex Diamondback or the Zen Ray Vista, maybe the Atlas Radian.  I don't have a lot of experience with Bushnell Excursions, but I've seen a couple that were pretty decent.  Aside from those I would stay away from ANY cheap non phase corrected roof glass.  If one of those does not fill your need then Bird watcher is on the right path with porro glass.

8x is easier to hold steady.  10x will show slightly more detail.

I would look hard at the Nikon for porro and Zen Ray for roof.

I would check with SWFA for Zen-Ray VISTA or Vortex Diamondback for that price range
