I wouuld like to know how does it compare with other manufactures fix power models? It seems that there isn't alot to pick from in this class of rifle scope.

I've been happy with the Meopta products I won, they provide nice products at a decent price.

It is a very nice scope, although there is recently nothing out there configured the same way for comparison.

If you are looking for a low light scope, this is a very nice way to go.  The eyerelief is a touch short, but the optics are good and the reticle is easy to see in the dark.

I was actually thinking it would go real nice on a short barreled 308 tactical bolt rifle. Most of the time shot from 100 to 200yrds at the range.Fixed 6x was also a thought,I just don't see a lot offered. thanks for your comments.

If you can still get one, I would get the IOR 6x42mm tactical scope.  It would be a perfect scope for what you are wanting.

+1 on the IOR recommendation.

The IOR 6x42 Tactical is a very nice scope and would fit your 308 perfectly, although Meopta 7x56 is not too shabby either.

is the IOR 6x42 tactical not being made anymore? I see a 6x42 in the hunting model, but a 6x30 with 35mm tube in a tactical model. I also was told to look at IOR scopes when I purchased my meopta r-1 3x10x50.
