hey guys i got a friend who wants me to load up some 160 gr bullets for his 7mm rem mag? anybody got some loads that worked well for you with this combo??  ive never loaded the 7mm mag before is this an optimal setup, its for whitetail deer hunting only but he wants it to be accurate out to 300yds

go to hodgdons and use their lowest range of data-- things are not always as they seem and reloading for others is full of liability problems. (1st off your assuming the guys gun even works correctly, could go on---) at least using a site you a quotable authority.

I have used 63.5gr of H4831sc with 210m primers. It should be close to 2950fps. This was with nosler AB's

sweet i did a whole bunch of test loads up for mine, i have a whole stack of targets from a bunch of different loads i tried, the only problem is that when i tried the 140gr accubonds they wouldnt shoot as well as the sierra pro hunters i am currently using, the ab's are a little longer so i think i may have needed to seat them a little deeper  but yeah i can hook you up with what worked.

This is my 1st post. I been checking in here for a couple years,( some pretty interesting reading )  joined last spring couldn't get logged on til this new format. I've had a 7 mag for quite a long time. First one a Ruger 77 then traded her for a Browning A Bolt 1 stainless stalker. Both real shooters!

Used IMR 4350 with a 154 gr Hornady spire pt for along time then switched to 7828.
66 grs Imr 7828 pushing a 154 gr spire pt ( 3000 fps) real accuate load for elk, deer & even a coyote in the off season .
Then i became fond of the Accubond bullet. 69 grs of RL 25 with a160 grain AB is real accurate in my rifle. Shot one elk with it did a real good job!
Now i'm playing with the short mags ( no 7's though) so the 7 mag is kind of retired for awhile.
Hope this helps and good luck .
